    Job Title: Casual Swimming Teacher

    Salary: £15.70 per hour

    Hours: Various

    Contract: Casual

    Location: Various

    As a casual swimming teacher, you'll enjoy working with swimmers to help them conquer their fears and craft engaging lessons that foster a lifelong love for swimming.

    About You

    • Technical knowledge acquired through a Level two SEQ or STA swim teachers Award/Certificate qualification
    • Passion for teaching and creativity
    • Patience and adaptability to swimmers' needs
    • Commitment to continuous learning and skill development
    • Excellent customer service skills

    Job Description

    Purpose of Job

    • Deliver the Leeds learn to swim programme as directed by the Sport and Active Recreation service
    • Promote swimming across the city
    • Help participants achieve their highest potential

    Responsibilities

    • Engage in coaching and teaching swimming
    • Deliver sessions professionally and fun
    • Handle administrative tasks efficiently
    • Ensure compliance with council policies
    • Promote Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety

    Qualifications

    • Hold the ASA/UKCC Level 2 Swimming teachers award or equivalent

    Essential Requirements

    • Demonstrate effective communication skills
    • Adapt to different situations
    • Work flexibly in a team
    • Organizational and motivational skills
    • Knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines
    • Teaching/coaching experience
