Description

Job Title: English Teacher or English Lead.

Location: Preston area, UK

Are you a passionate and qualified English teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a team at a school in the Preston area.

Job Description:As an English Teacher, you will inspire and engage students in the study of English literature and language. You will plan and deliver lessons that foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. This role offers the chance to contribute to the academic and personal development of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the curriculum.
Teach a range of topics including classic and contemporary literature, language analysis, and writing skills.
Encourage students to develop their reading abilities.
The current English Teacher also leads Careers within the school.
Foster creativity and effective communication through written expression.
Assess students' progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English or relevant teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
Effective classroom management skills and organisational abilities.
Commitment to continuous professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
