This full-time position attracts an additional £2,500 London allowance per annum

About the role


Leading on all marketing and communications activities, the post-holder will work towards the hospital achieving its goal of being the first-choice private psychiatric hospital in London.

The post-holder will lead on the management of all marketing and communications activities to promote brand visibility and drive referrals across all mental health services, including outpatient, day patient and inpatient treatment.

The successful applicant will report into the Hospital & Client Liaison, a small but dynamic team working to deliver the hospital's overall business development and marketing strategy.

Tasks include but are not exclusive to; managing all internal and external communications, digital marketing strategy (including social media management across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter, website management, content creation and paid ads, sales promotions and events geared towards GPs, health professionals, consultant psychiatrists and the public.

Duties and responsibilities

Job duties

  • Lead all internal and external communications activities for the hospital and its services across outpatient, day patient and inpatient care. Work proactively with a variety of different operational teams within the hospital to support individual service promotions (such as addiction, eating disorder and general psychiatry services)
  • Productive working with all departments (such as therapy, nursing, maintenance, catering, HR and the senior management team) within the hospital to support their communication needs (including copywriting, document proofing, PPPT presentations and general document creation)
  • Manage the hospital's website (including the creation of treatment and condition pages, therapist and consultant psychiatrist profiles, enquiry forms and more), improving navigation and user journey development, SEO, and paid campaign management
  • Lead on all digital marketing activities for the hospital; including the development of all social media content and management of the hospital's official platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram; monitor Nightingale's digital footprint and any social mentions; drive video content production and execution to grow the hospital's YouTube channel and drive website traffic
  • Utilisating Google Analytics and other measurement tools to monitor user behaviour and obtain customer insights to inform business decisions
  • Produce newsletters and other targeted communications tailored to different audiences, such as consultant psychiatrists and other referrers such as GPs and other health professionals
  • Lead on endtoend, small to largescale internal and external events (inperson and online) including event preparation (staying on budget), promotion and management, followed up with postevent reporting and analysis, including sponsored events
  • Develop promotional activities surrounding key mental health awareness day events (such as coordinating internal staff initiatives, developing external content and promoting consultant psychiatrist and referrer engagement)
  • Manage all marketing collateral production; including copywriting, creative direction, printing, and delivery), ensuring all items (from written and digital material, to branded items) adhere to Nightingale brand guidelines
  • Comprehensive press management, including but not limited to; creating press statements, crisis handling, active monitoring of the hospital's press inbox, proactively chasing press opportunities, liaising with journalists and media outlets, sourcing clinicians within the hospital's network to provide expert comment on a range of ment
