- Support a range of airport and airspace projects from initial concept to final implementation, working in close collaboration with diverse stakeholders including Air Navigation Service Providers, airports, airlines, and the CAA.
- Conduct in-depth analysis to provide evidentially based assessments of current and future capabilities when writing reports and completing studies.
- Support the development of detailed Airspace Change Proposals (ACPs) in accordance with CAP 1616 standards, including assessing potential impacts on safety, capacity, efficiency, and the environment.
- Facilitate effective communication engagement and consultation when necessary with key aviation and non-aviation stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality written documentation in support of all project activities.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring high-quality, on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in the airports and airspace market with respect to evolving policy, regulatory requirements, and the application of best practice.
- Experience in an aviation, airport or airspace related field.
- Knowledge of ICAO Annex 14.
- Experience of safeguarding requirements from an airport/regulatory perspective.
- Expertise or experience in safety case development and assessment.
- Understanding of CAA regulations and processes including CAP1616 Airspace Change.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong project management skills with an appropriate qualification, and a record of meeting deadlines.
- Strong IT and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

The Opportunity

As part of Science Group PLC, Osprey offer hybrid working at our principal locations in Bristol and Lincoln but with options to work from group offices in Cambridge, Epsom and Knaresborough.
Osprey are seeking an aviation Consultant who will join our Airports and Airspace team to help play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the UK aviation market, by delivering high quality technical and operational support to our current and future clients.
In the years ahead, there will be exciting opportunities to support clients during UK airspace modernisation whilst also planning for the integration of new technologies in a compliant, safe, and efficiency manner.
Whilst supporting a range of associated projects, you should be passionate about aviation and the dynamic world of airspace management, have some knowledge of the complex regulatory frameworks and be willing to apply your knowledge and expertise across a wide range of aviation assignments.
The ideal candidate will have a background in civil and/or military aviation and knowledge of the CAA CAP 1616 Airspace Change Process and a willingness to provide support across all projects as required by internal consultancy and client demands.

A background in air traffic control within either the civil or military environment.
Experience with airspace modelling tools and software.
Knowledge of aviation safety management systems.
