About the Role:
The OGC Assistant - Conflicts Data is an integral part of Latham's Office of the General Counsel team.

This role will be responsible for optimising and maintaining the data housed within the conflicts system to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency, while assuring compliance with all policies and procedures of the firm, and while identifying and monitoring best practices and data consistency.

This role will be located in our Manchester office.

Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.


Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Conflicts Data team, OGC Supervisor
  • Conflicts Systems & Data, Business Intake leadership, Conflicts leadership, as well as other senior stakeholders to ensure appropriate risk management procedures are in place and being followed
  • Collaborating with the aforementioned to ensure conflicts data is uptodate and continually working on the review process of how conflicts data is created
  • Monitoring and managing required edits of conflicts data, as found through conflicts clearances and regular reports, in line with firm policy and procedure
  • Working with the OGC Supervisor
  • Conflicts Systems & Data and OGC Manager
  • Conflicts, Business Intake, Compliance Systems & Data to develop and prepare various reports relating to system data integrity and cleanup
  • Inputting and updating data into the conflicts database including special notations, affiliates, portfolio companies, directorships, lateral data, and other datarelated projects relating to the database, matters, and parties outside the normal conflicts checking process

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess knowledge and proficiency in automated workflow tools
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exhibit the ability to use independent judgment and discretion when making majority of decisions

  • Relevant experience handling large volumes of data and working within a database
  • Project experience
