Starting salary £27,000

Family First Solicitors require a paralegal to work alongside the team in Oxford. The role will be ideal for an individual who wishes to develop a career in the family field.

Main duties and responsibilities

To undertake fee earning tasks to assist with running of a caseload under the supervision and management of the directors. To include:

· Drafting and managing divorce proceedings.

· Document preparation and management, bundles, photocopying, paginating, indexing, assisting with disclosure, preparing statements, court bundles and documents.

· Drafting using precedents, schedules, forms, orders and letters.

· Preparing cost estimates and assisting with billing.

· Acting as first point of contact for new clients, liaison and support by telephone and in writing with existing clients and other parties.

· Ensuring compliance with AML, ensuring confidentiality and security of information, data protection.

· All administrative duties associated with this role including filing, post and bundle delivery.

Skills and experience

· The ideal candidate would possess a legal or Cilex qualification, but all experience or relevant work experience is considered.

· Previous paralegal experience in family law is advantageous.

· Competent with IT applications such as word, excel, outlook and social media.

· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and display the ability to form a good working rapport with clients and third parties.

· An interest in client care, business development and client engagement.
