Site Manager - Electrical and Mechanical Installation - Automotive, Automation, Body in White, Robotics or similar.


Our Client are world leaders in Industrial Electrical and Mechanical installations for Automation, Body in White ( BIW) and Robotics.

Salary ; £50K - £55K (depending on experience), based from home, car allowance £6K/yr,weekend disturbance allowance.
Back ground key skills are Installation, relocation of Automation machinery. Body in White, Converyors.

If you have experience of working in automotive or FMCG plants or similar this role may be of great interest to you.

Location - Midands - Coventry, Birmingham, Liverpool and or Able to get to various sites. If possible Warwickshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire,or similar.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Oversee the installation and commissioning execution in term of scope, timing, costs, quality andresources (human and not) up to final acceptance from customer.

Based on Company Organization supervises in-house manufacturing of plants/equipment. Acts as liaisonbetween the project team and manufacturing team for plant activities.


Responsibilities:


Main areas of responsibilities are:

Responsible for the overall co-ordination and control of the project from the design stage, through to completion and the handover to the Customer
Manage Customer Buy-Off activities

Daily management of operations on Customer site, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the project requirements.

Manage the installation test and support the customer until the hand over with after sales team
Preparing site reports
Prepare eventual Health & Safety accident report (based on local rule and normative)
Assure the resources allocation, workload, efficiency
Assure proper people health & safety, in according to local rules and norms
Manage the know risks and ensuring the right approach on unforeseen unknown events

Ensure that site team and sub-contractors are following the right standards (Company standards, Customer standards and Quality Standards) and Company best practices.

Reviewing project drawings and specifications to gain a full understanding of project scope, client goals and expectations, and resource requirements for each phase of the project
Keep engaged and motivated the site team to achieve project goals (scope, time, cost and quality).
Assess and accept, or require changes, to the tenders received from suppliers
Define the site plan and budget (scheduling, internal and external resources required and quantity and type of equipment, cost forecast) and approves the site workforce plan
Guarantee compliance with health & safety local norms and regulations
Manage the supplier (internal and external) activities acceptance (suppliers sign-off)
Organize and chair periodical review meetings with site team/sub-contractors
Ensure properly quality Site Milestones completion in according with time schedule (Time baseline)
Handle sensitive information with confidentiality


Core expectations
Basic mechanical, controls, fluidic knowledge
Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and methods.
Demonstrate a strong knowledge of materials and resource allocation, manufacturing and commissioning tools, and execution according to plan specifications
Decision-making ability
Project Management knowledge (Scope, Time, Cost, Risk, Human Resources, Stakeholders management, Communication etc.)

Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.


Qualifications

Education :
Technical High School Diploma
Degree in Engineering preferred
Previous experiences
Minimum 5 years as Site Manager
