    Overview of the role:

    As the Sales Manager for JCB's Government and Municipality Team in the UK, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the sales strategy within the public sector. You'll lead our charge in capturing new opportunities and nurturing strategic partnerships with government agencies and municipal bodies. This dynamic position requires a comprehensive skill set to successfully lead the retail sales performance for the designated market, driving growth and cementing JCB's position as the go-to solution provider in the public sector.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Sales Strategy Leadership:

    Develop and own the UK & ROI public sector sales strategy.

    Implement strategic initiatives to drive retail sales performance.

    Present sales strategies to director-level stakeholders within the organisation.

    2. Market Development:

    Identify new opportunities and actively participate in tenders/frameworks for government projects.

    Manage and nurture leads efficiently using Salesforce.

    3. Campaigns and Performance Enhancement:

    Devise and execute sales campaigns to boost retail performance.

    Influence and manage dealer performance for optimal results.

    4. Customer Business Growth:

    Generate and expand new customer business segments within the public sector.

    Showcase JCB's brand effectively in events and presentations.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Proven experience in the procurement methods and considerations for public sector customers, particularly UK councils.

    Strong performance management and influence skills with a focus on the JCB dealer network.

    In-depth knowledge of the JCB product offering or equivalent plant machinery.

    Exceptional organisational skills to effectively manage multiple projects, campaigns, and activities simultaneously.

    Proficiency in CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.

    Professional communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
