    Description

    Semi/senior accountant role based in Warwick, within a progressive financial services firm that was founded in 1991 to help companies wanting to set up in or export to the UK. They work exclusively with foreign-owned businesses in the UK, understanding the problems they face.

    They are looking to onboard an accountant who is highly experienced in preparation of year end accounts for limited companies using IRIS or Xero. The individual must be ambitious, and an expert in accounts preparation

    Semi/Senior Accountant Position Overview
    • Preparation & submission of statutory accounts & corporation tax returns for Limited Company clients.
    • Preparation of accounting records, statutory accounts and tax returns for more complex corporate structures e.g. holding companies, LLPs & LPs, and clients requiring consolidated accounts and reporting.
    • Liaison with external auditors, including preparing statutory accounts for review, where required by clients.
    • Responding to technical queries raised by the accounting team.
    • Develop and maintain working familiarity with applicable tax regulations to provide clients with relevant advice and guidance.
    • Develop and maintain working familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and interpretations to provide expert assistance in prospect/new client meetings.
    • Preparation and submission of 'Year End Accounts' for Limited Companies.
    • To take on full responsibility in terms of preparation of accounting records including finalisation and submission of year end accounts for more complex clients e.g. different corporate structures,
    • consolidated accounts etc. that are coming through the business.
    • Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all financial transactions.
    • Responsible for providing answers to technical queries raised by the 'Accounts Team' within set time frames.
    • Compliance with the company's internal control policies and procedures.
    • Develop and maintain working familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and interpretations governing financial statements and disclosures.
    • Ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all tasks.
    • To carry out periodic AML reviews of clients from an accountancy perspective
    • Cooperation with external auditors to carry out the audits for the clients.
    • Other financial duties assigned by the Executive Director of the company.
    Semi/Senior Accountant Position Requirements
    • Minimum Bachelors degree in accounting/Finance, ACCA is preferable.
    • Five or more years of years of experience since being qualified.
    • Ability to work in a multi-cultural diverse environment and under pressure.
    • Demonstrate ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive and tactful manner. Adhere to strict confidentiality involving company matters and internal/external correspondence.
    • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (word, excel and outlook) along with SAGE, IRIS, XERO and Accountancy Manager.
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with minimum supervision.
    • Convey a sense of urgency when it is appropriate, get results and add value.
    • Complete all deadlines before due dates.
    • Ability to plan, manage and follow through on required work and communicate at all levels of the organisation in a timely and professional manner.
    • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
    • Have clear communication between departments and have set timeframes to complete the work within.
    • Have standards and templates in place so that all parties know what needs to be done.
    • Any required training will be given by the company to perform the necessary duties of the job role.
    Semi/Senior Accountant Position Remuneration

    Salary £35,000 - £38,000

    Hours 8am - 4pm Mon - Thurs

    9am - 4pm Friday

    Annual leave 20 days + bank holidays + 3 days off for Christmas
