About Three Rivers District Council

Three Rivers District in South West Hertfordshire straddles the north west corner of the M25 on the edge of Greater London.

The district is a mixture of beautiful countryside, villages and small towns.

The area has a diverse range of sectors and businesses and is a centre for the film industry with Warner Brothers at Leavesden forming part of a studio cluster along with Elstree and Pinewood is a short drive away.

The Department:
The Leisure and Natural Infrastructure Policy and Projects team, sits within the Leisure and Natural Infrastructure service. The team are responsible for delivering a range of projects that the support the strategic direction of the service.

This includes a range of revenue and capital based projects, including play areas and other leisure outdoor facilities as well as projects aimed at enhancing our parks and open spaces, with a particular focus on natural infrastructure.


The Role:

  • To develop, support and promote council, local and catchment based partner initiatives as they relate to Biodiversity, Nature Recovery and Natural Infrastructure.
  • To deliver against and monitor Council policies and strategies in key areas of Biodiversity, Nature Recovery and Natural Infrastructure including but not limited to the Nature Recovery Strategy and Biodiversity Net Gain, representing the council at relevant county, regional and national partnership structures.
