Description
Alchemy is working with a prestigious gallery in London who are looking a Press Officer to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Working alongside Communications, Press and Marketing colleagues on communication strategies
- Assist with planning and implementing strategic and international press campaigns to promote the gallery's exhibition programs, events, artist and gallery announcement/involvement
- Using media collaborations to leverage the gallery's marketing assets using videos, photography, live streams and artists interview content
- Developing key relationships with press contacts locally, nationally and internationally
- Assisting with press releases, media alerts, invites and gallery event texts
- Respond to a variety of media requests in a timely manner
- Liaise with artist studios to develop press material for content
- Manage and maintain the press database and proactively gather new press contacts by coordinating the press mailing data
- Management of journalist briefings, photo calls, press breakfasts, dinners, trips and work events to support the galleries event programmes and projects
- Liaise with museum press offices and PR agencies
- Have fantastic written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate strong analytical, organisational, interpersonal and attention to detail skills
- Have and show excellent knowledge of the visual arts
- Know how to use Mailchimp, Microsoft Office and Mac OS X
