The postholder will be a champion for robust, ethical and effective information governance across With You services, working with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure compliance and understanding of data protection within our staff.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the IG work plan to ensure the organisation meets adequate IG standards and will use your experience to support the annual review and update cycle of policies and procedures and assist the DPO in the review of training material.

A key part of this role will be to support the work of the organisation's IG Steering Group and provide advice, guidance and interpretation on matters relating to IG to colleagues across the organisation, to ensure the organisation minimises risk and meets legal obligations.

Essential Skills Evidence of continuous professional development. Proven track record of developing and managing data assurance, information governance and other operational processes to improve compliance. Understanding of Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles and the NHS Information Governance Toolkit. Excellent ability to communicate effectively to different teams, and make complex and technical language and concepts simple.
