We are a teaching hospital in partnership with Keele University and a patient-centred clinical research facility providing state-of-the-art facilities. We specialise in cancer diagnosis and treatment, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, renal and dialysis, neonatal and also paediatric intensive care.

We are also recognised for our particular expertise in trauma, respiratory conditions, spinal surgery, upper gastro-intestinal surgery, complex orthopaedic surgery, laparoscopic surgery and the management of liver conditions.


We have band 2 HCA vacancies on our Nurse Bank, which will give you an opportunity to work what hours you want in all the above areas, allowing you to gain a variety of skills, knowledge and expertise in trauma and specialist treatments and care.


The role of this nursing assistant post is flexible, and the post holder will therefore, be required to provide support over a wide range of service/functions.

Key to this flexibility is the requirement for staff to work variable hours on a week by week basis within agreed limits.

The post holder will be required to work according to a locally agreed Code of Conduct for Nursing Assistants
