    Description

    Are you a Finance Manager with Real Estate experience looking for a move to a Group Financial Controller role?

    We are partnering with a very successful listed commercial real estate organisation. There main focus is re-leasing and refurbishing over 1million square feet of commercial real estate through the successful implementation of their business strategy. Real Estate experience is an essential requirement for this role. Opportunity to work with a very experienced Finance Director who will mentor you to potentially take over their role in 4-5years time.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsibility for the day to day management of the financial reporting function of the company and associated businesses.
    • Direct responsibility for a small team highly motivated finance team.
    • Ensuring that all financial reporting obligations are met in respect of statutory accounts, management accounting reporting and lender compliance reporting throughout the group and associated businesses.
    • Working closely and supporting the senior management team in financial matters related to group investments and potential investments.
    • Working closely with and where necessary assisting the Finance Director over multiple businesses in different commercial sectors
    • Planning and implementing financial controls, restructuring financial people resources and processes over multiple businesses.
    • Planning and implementing new and upgraded financial systems, if required and necessary.
    • Working with business level management teams in reporting financial performance
    • Working with the Finance Director in preparations of financial and liquidity forecasting, this will involve detailed discussions with senior commercial management
    • Supporting financial appraisal of new acquisition opportunities
    • Working with the Finance Director in managing professional accounting / financial and tax advisers in the preparation of acquisition structuring. This involves understanding and challenging advisers on key technical accounting and tax points.
    • Where required supporting the senior management team in analysing disposal / realisation strategies together with their financial implications
    • Preparation of lender covenant reporting
    • Deputising for the Finance Director where necessary
    • Management of company filings for the group

    • Can do attitude and willingness to learn
    • Ability to quickly analyse, investigate and highlight key risks
    • Must haves
    • Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
    • Min 4 years PQE
    • Experience of the Real Estate Sector is essential for this role
