About the RoleJOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced
Principal, Project Manager to drive and deliver the ambitious strategic technology change agenda at Wellington's
Investment Fund & Product Strategies division.
They will be responsible for defining the program's vision and strategic priorities, translating this into an agile program of work and accountable for establishing and running the systems and processesto deliver and report against this program of change.
The role will be based in London or Boston, coordinating with colleagues across Europe, APAC, and the US.RESPONSIBILITIES- Work with leadership to define the vision and strategic priorities for the IPFS Strategic Technology Program, socializing this vision across all levels of the program and organization
- Be accountable for program progress against the vision, roadmap, and the prioritized outcomes
- Report against value delivered to IPFS and wider organization leadership, consolidating workstreamlevel updates back to the Program stakeholders and Steering Committee
- Marshall the inbound delivery requirements and demand received from technology and the business, coordinating, consolidating, and prioritizing this demand in concert with a team of Product Owners (and preempting downstream dependencies)
- Work closely with Product Owners, business SMEs and technology delivery teams to define and drive the vision for a workstream or set of business outcomes
- Identify opportunities, articulate, and translate business needs and strategies into actionable and executable visions and roadmaps across the program's workstreams
- Establish and facilitate ongoing program governance that sits across multiple Agile teams/workstreams
- Work alongside the IPFS Strategic Technology Product Manager to drive the adoption of agile ways of working and a scaled agile delivery model, coaching Product Owners, and Delivery Leads to support the formation of empowered agile teams/workstreams
- Have overall accountability for delivery against the program roadmap and releases
- Facilitate coordination and collaboration of crossworkstream delivery
- Support the common pursuit of improved team performance through empowered team members
- Lead and/or facilitate prioritized work and analysis that will help solve complex issues that impact the wider organization.
- Experience in delivery of complex IT/Technology change at the programlevel
- Experience in managing large IT program delivery in the Asset Management industry, preferably focused on Financial Products and Fund Servicing
- Preferably a qualified scrum master and agile product owner, with experience within scaled agile teams delivering change
- Excellent leadership, people management and organizational ability
- Familiarity with project management tools used by technology teams e.g., Jira
