Description
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Buyer to join our team and support our purchasing department.The successful candidate will be responsible for Assisting the Senior Buyer with the procurement of all parts, materials, and commodities, ensuring the health and safety of staff, approved suppliers/contractors, minimising environmental impact, and achieving service and quality expectations.
This full-time role offers a competitive salary and a range of benefits.Writing, placing and tracking purchase orders.
Negotiating with vendors and building positive, long-term relationships.
Planning, monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
Preparing budgets and forecasting purchasing trends.
Compiling reports on product performance and statistics.
Degree in business, economics, marketing or related field preferred.
Experience with merchandising software systems is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
