About the role:


We are looking for an efficient, enthusiastic and solutions focused individual to join our Legal Services team, which is shared across West Suffolk Council and Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils (the Councils) (Legal Services).


In this varied role you will be part of the legal business support team developing administrative knowledge across the specialist areas of Regulatory and Information Governance, Commercial, Property and Planning law.

You will work with and provide support to lawyers and other colleagues, producing template documents, responding to enquiries, managing information and data on a case management system.

You will also develop your knowledge in other areas within the legal team to develop resilience in the support function.


What you will need:


You will possess excellent administration, communication and IT skills including use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, with proven experience of working with databases; have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and be highly organised, with an attention to detail and accuracy.

These are all essential for this role.

You will also be a highly-motivated self-starter with a huge amount of enthusiasm and an ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to adopt a flexible approach to your work.


Experience in a legal environment or working on a case management system is not essential as training will be provided, however you will have the enthusiasm, willingness and energy to learn and develop your knowledge.
