Senior Finance Business Partner


Location:
Hybrid, London - Will be required to travel to New Milton, Worcester and Luton occasionally.


Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday
As the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will contribute to our vision of being the
UKs favourite property manager by:

  • Providing an exceptional business partnering service to operational managers, assisting budget holders to exceed their deliverables and take corrective measures where appropriate.
  • Owning division level corporate financial results and processes and support the finance director in understanding the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Ensuring that financial risks are managed and emerging variances to budgets can be anticipated and mitigated through timely action.
  • Delivering on AVIVA key performance indicators, reporting and audit requirements.
This role reports to the Director of Finance - Mainstay. There is up to 2 direct reports in this role.


Main Responsibilities

  • Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with senior managers and their teams with regards to the 5 business units in the Mainstay Division.
  • Drive change in behaviour of budget holders, support product launches and support business growth.
  • Establish regular Performance Review process with Operation managers and their teams, understanding performance and driving management action.
  • Act as the bridge between strategic and delivery teams to ensure group objectives and plans are achieved.
  • Providing input to Group FP&A for budget, forecasting and reporting on all volume/margin topics.
  • Providing analysis and insight that links financial reports to business strategies.
  • Embed financial controls and control processes.
  • Adhoc analysis and reporting including business modelling.
  • Implement and embed benchmarking to assist with performance assessment.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvement programs.
  • Manage and maintain AVIVA reporting and audit requirements.
  • Provide coaching and training to direct report.
  • Deputise for the Director of Finance where appropriate.

Skills and Experience

  • A commercially orientated qualified Finance individual (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
years post qualified commercial experience

  • Highly motivated and proactive selfstarter who has demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent organisation skills.
  • Team player and able to lead by example.
  • Intermediate to advance Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience of using Adaptive Insight preferable.
