    Investment Senior Associate/VP - Special Situations (Fluent German Speaker)

    The Team:

    This is a unique opportunity for a fluent German speaker with the relevant 5-8 years' industry experience to join a special situations investment team based in London.

    Our client specializes in investing in equity and debt special situations across the European mid-market space, they have an 8 year track record, focusing on sourcing and investing in complex situations across unconstrained sectors and geographies.

    With experienced industry experts leading the investment strategy, the business operates on a highly solution driven approach to opportunities with complex capital needs that are not met by more traditional sources of capital.

    They are looking to hire due to growth in AUM and continual strong deal flow, the team are creative, flexible, comprehensively diligent and proactive in managing their investments, with a consistent aim generating attractive returns.

    The Requirements:


    • 5- 8 years' experience from a relevant private credit investment and investment banking background within public and/or private markets


    • Experience sourcing, structuring and executing transactions within special situations, distressed debt, lending or restructuring responsibilities of transactions


    • Advanced MS Excel modelling and MS PowerPoint skills (tested during application process)


    • Developing investment thesis and preparing investment committee memos, screening and evaluation of new investment opportunities


    • Ability to source investment opportunities across the DACH and central European regions and develop or tap into an existing network of counterparts


    • Relevant Bachelor's degree required from a top tier institution


    • A fluent German speaker, ideally based or willing to work in London


    • Genuine passion and interest in special situations financing and opportunistic credit investment
