    Job Summary

    Urea Technologist is expected to initiate, propose, and execute research and development, debottlenecking/revamp, energy-saving, sustainability improvement programs directed towards the improvement of processes and commercial technologies. Lead in-house new process technology development, scale up & implementations in commercial plants. Provide technology support to commercial plants for the shutdown turnover and recommissioning as needed. Provide troubleshooting & root cause analysis support and drive problem resolution for commercial plants. The technologist is also expected to provide support in Growth Projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Provide troubleshooting & root cause analysis support for commercial plants
    2. Development of Plant-wide Model in Aspen Plus or similar software
    3. Guide the Plant Improvements/Performance based on model outcomes
    4. Participate in in-house new process technology development, scale up & implementations in commercial plants
    5. Carry out Energy and mass balance calculations
    6. Conduct Energy Optimization/Pinch Studies
    7. Perform Pump hydraulics calculations
    8. Design and calculate Heat exchangers
    9. Evaluate Various Catalyst performances
    10. Conduct Feasibility study & Revamp study
    11. Independently Review Engineering Documents & Steer design processes
    12. Design and supervise pilot plant experimental runs including data interpretation and reporting
    13. Collect and interpret plant process data for recommendations and optimization
    14. Actively contribute to plant safety and quality programs

    Requirements:

    This role requires the candidate to permanently relocate to Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Preferably holds a Masters or PhD degree. Masters degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience or PhD with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Technology Development, Plant Support, Modeling, and Optimization. Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning abilities. Strong leadership skills to effectively collaborate and influence individuals from diverse disciplines and cultures. Ability to create, foster, and drive a culture of innovation within the organization.
