Contract Term: 6 months (with possible extension)

Job Purpose:


DBS-DIT Knowledge, Information and Business (KIB) team is responsible for a mix of learning, talent development and workforce planning interventions for up to 400 people across digital, information and technological (DIT) teams.


As a Project Support Officer, you will support the Learning and Apprenticeships Manager with effective building, deployment and iteration of a suite of learning, talent development and workforce capability projects within the DIT.


The DIT Workforce Planning programme requires project management support and methodologies on projects that transact significant business change through a portfolio of learning and development interventions to attract, develop and retain talent.


As a Project Support Officer your main responsibilities would be:

  • Support the Learning and Apprenticeships Manager with building and deploying a portfolio of learning and development projects to attract, develop and retain talent.
  • Assist workforce planning projects build and delivery the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality.
  • Schedule / manage resources to achieve workforce projects, working independently as well as within a small team.
  • Identify and work with key stakeholders, developing effective relationships.
  • Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Assist in mitigation actions and escalate as appropriate.
  • Provide key reports that support effective governance and decision making.
  • Support appropriate project assurance.
  • Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.

You'll have relevant experience in:


  • Project Support Experience
  • Project Management Qualification


  • PRINCE

  • Active SC Clearance is required for this role.
  • Learning & Development experience
  • Desirable.
  • Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) qualification
  • Desirable.
