- To analyse and release petroleum products
- Testing a variety of petroleum products to ASTM and IP test methods
- Preparing and testing sample blends as requested by customers
- To prepare and test quality control samples, to standardise reagents and solutions and to calibrate equipment as needed for the testing process
- Verifying samples to specifications and communicating results obtained
- Make appropriate entries in the required records and systems
- Generate reports for release to customers
- Receive and log in samples for testing on the required systems
- Maintain documentation as required to meet ISO 17025
- Good IT literacy skills
- Petroleum laboratory environment experience preferred but not essential
- Good knowledge of chemistry, with A level qualifications or above and preferable experience in analytical instrumentation
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, in accordance with company policies and established methodologies

Due to continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Analyst to carry out preparation and testing on submitted samples. This will include all testing and preparation activities, using both basic and advanced instrument techniques.
