Description
Due to expansion within the aerospace industry, we are recruiting on behalf of an established and successful distributor.

They supply a wide selection of parts to nationwide client base, with a large proportion of their valued customers within the aerospacemarket.

Their focus on quality is key to their ongoing success and they now seek an experienced Quality Lead to continue and develop their exceptional standards within the aerospace quality team.


As Quality Lead you are supporting the Aerospace Sales team and Quality department in all aspects of quality, ensuring audit standards are met.

You will have working knowledge of ISO 9002 procedures and AS9120B, essentially within the aerospace industry.

Working closely with the Quality Manager, you will oversee the smooth running of the quality department, whilst maintaining a collaborative relationship with all departments.

This is an office-based, full -time, permanent role


Location:
Andover, Hampshire Salary circa £45k per year.


Quality Lead role responsibilities:

  • To ensure performance is in accordance with all standards help by the group (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 & AS9120B)
  • To manage and maintain client activity ensuring the Aerospace sales team update the CRM system.
  • To ensure that the Aerospace sales team respond to tenders and RFI's in a timely manner.
  • To visit all Aerospace customers on quality related matter.
  • To work with the Quality manager to ensure smooth running of the quality system and develop strategic planning and implementation of company policy.
  • To ensure processes required for the Quality management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained; to include; audits, forms, drawings, meetings and procedures.
  • To ensure customer requirements and expectations are met (product and paperwork), are compliant and are legal.
  • To carry out inspections of incoming goods, including works orders and to write up sample reports/FAIRS as required, scanning documentation to ensure lot traceability is maintained.
  • To manage nonconformances.
  • To investigate product related returns.
  • Ensure Vendor Assessments are carried out.
  • Manage the internal and external audits.

It is essential that the Quality Lead has working knowledge of ISO 9002 procedures and AS9120B within the Aerospace industry and a significant understanding of technical drawings.
