    Job Description

    Data Analyst

Iqony Solar Energy Solutions UK (SENS UK) is the solar subsidiary of German power company, Iqony Group (formerly STEAG).

SENS UK's vision is to become one of the UK's foremost solar PV Independent Power Producers (IPPs). We will do this by developing, financing, constructing and maintaining commercial solar PV assets, on the ground, on roof tops, in some cases, co-located with batteries. Where profitable markets emerge in other renewable technologies, we will enter them.

Through our Wattify platform, we enable customers and the public to own the solar PV assets. Our parent company's strength and commitment, enables us to take a long-term view on owning renewable assets, by developing a project portfolio, purchasing development rights and direct relationships with clients where we will sell green energy either to the grid or to customers, 'behind the meter'.

The team is currently developing and building large scale roof top and ground mounted solar PV systems. The team is expanding and growing its ground mounted solar PV capability. We require an experienced Data Analyst to work with the Development, Maintenance and Operation teams to achieve the IPP vision.

    Your new role

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing data insights to inform business decisions on the development, performance and ongoing maintenance of large-scale ground and roof mounted solar PV and, in the future, battery systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Your main responsibilities are to:

    • Utilising the data from our platforms to gain required insights
    • Download and analyse all relevant data and inform on any missing data issues
    • Developing, generating and maintaining performance metrics, reports and graphs
    • Daily and monthly reporting for clients on Solar PV installations, including KPI calculations using Python script
    • Ensuring any onsite issues are catalogued and responded to in a timely manner, so that required KPIs are met
    • Providing reporting / information packs for the leadership team
    • Review draft contracts and adjust performance mathematics as required
    • Work closely with development, maintenance and operation teams
    • Provide feedback to colleagues to optimise performance where necessary
    • Network – we need you to 'spread the word' about SENS UK and why it is a long term, reliable and well-funded organisation with whom clients can enjoy long-term relationships

    What you'll need to succeed

SENS UK is a dynamic, entrepreneurial, well-funded and fun organisation to work for.

    You will have:

    • Comfortable communicating (verbal and written) to different audiences (e.g. technical and non-technical)
    • Ability to provide actionable insight from complex data
    • Strong analytical, theoretical and numeric skills
    • Experience in the energy or renewables Industry
    • Python user or similar
    • Degree in a numerate subject, or a proven track record of quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities, ideally in a commercial setting
    • Dynamic and motivated individual with ability to work alone and as part of a team
    • Communicative, organised, flexible and committed and you must have a can-do attitude
    • High accuracy and understanding of calculations
    • Be advance user of MS Excel, Outlook and Word
    • To be self-motivated

Above all, we need to you fit into an entrepreneurial culture: to bring energy, flair, flexibility, creativity and dynamism to help deliver SENS UK's vision.

    What you'll get in return

You will receive a highly competitive salary, as well as excellent benefits package and bonus scheme.

You will secure a position which provides the true opportunity to shape and develop the position, grow with the organisation, and achieve outstanding results.

The preference is for you to be based in either the North-West or South-East regions, partly remotely (40%) and partly from the office (60%), with the understanding that some travel is required.
