Payroll Executive / Specialist

Salary:
£40, ,000 (dependent on experience)

Hours:37.5 hours - (they would also consider part-time 30 hours per week)

Start:
Immediate (willing to wait for notice period)

Culture Guru is recruiting for a meticulously organised and proactive Payroll Executive for a well-established environmentally aware business that is progressing through an exciting transformative time within its business journey.

This people-led evolving company's payroll executive vacancy would suit someone reliable, who can manage their workload and has experience in payrolling 500+ employees across UK & Ireland.

Responsibilities of the role but not limited to;

Managing payroll from the cradle to grave (working with thirdparty payroll businesses)
Administering new starter documentation and processing required leaver paperwork
Processing holiday, SSP, SMP, SPP payments and statutory deductions
Processing P45, P60, P11D
Submitting monthly PAYE and pension contributions on schedule
Calculating employee tax benefits company car etc.
Process joiners, leavers, and all amendments to payroll promptly
Provide advice to employees and managers about pay, taxation and national insurance
Ability to perform the manual calculation of payments when needed
Support with annual returns to HMRC including Year End processes and procedures
Dealing with payroll deductions such as pensions, unions, court orders, and CSA.
Gain a detailed understanding of the time and attendance system and assisted, when required
Create, reconcile, and submit RTI files to HMRC
Reconciling payroll reports and monthly journals
Offering a consistently good level of customer service to our employees and other internal/external customers
Recognised professional UK payroll qualification desirable but not essential
A minimum of 5 years of current UK payroll experience having worked on payrolls with a high degree of complexity (i.e. variable pay elements & deductions coming from different sources)
Ability to process payroll from start to finish
Experience working with a Time and Attendance system is advantageous but not essential
Experience in processing Irish payroll is advantageous
