HOURS:
35 hrs a week


SALARY:
£26,000 Pro rata

Fixed term until 31st March 2014.


LOCATION:
Various across all six adventure playgrounds managed by Awesome


REPORTS TO:
Managing Director

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Project Coordination:
The Project Support Assistant will play a vital role in coordinating and facilitating various projects. This involves organising project activities, liaising with teammembers, and ensuring the smooth flow of project timelines and deliverables. The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively is crucial in this role.


Documentation and Reporting:
Accurate and timely documentation is essential for successful project execution. The Project Support Assistant will be responsible for maintaining project records, creating reports, and updating project documentation. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are necessary for effective reporting to stakeholders.


Administrative Support:
The role requires providing administrative support to project managers and teammembers. This includes scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and managing project-related resources and equipment. The ability to work efficiently and handle administrative tasks is vital to keep projects on track.


Problem Solving and Initiative:
Projects often present unique challenges and require innovative solutions.

The Project Support Assistant should be proactive in identifying potential issues, offering solutions, and assisting in resolving problems that may arise during project execution.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach are essential qualities for this role.


  • Work in a support role to the Managing Director as a team player with excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to support the smooth running of diverse projects within the organisation.
Main Tasks of Job

The main duties of the Project Support Assistant post are categorised into six key areas:

Project Coordination:

  • Organise project activities and tasks.
  • Liaise with teammembers to ensure collaboration.
  • Maintain project timelines and deliverables.
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project records.
  • Generate timely and informative reports.
  • Update project documentation as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Administrative Support:

  • Schedule and organise projectrelated meetings.
  • Handle correspondence and communications.
  • Manage project resources and equipment.
  • Provide efficient administrative assistance.

Problem Solving and Initiative:

  • Proactively identify project challenges.
  • Offer innovative solutions to issues.
  • Assist in resolving problems during projects.
  • Utilise strong problemsolving skills.

Support to the Managing Director:

  • Collaborate as a team player.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail.
  • Contribute to the smooth functioning of diverse projects.
  • Other Duties
  • To attend training and supervision (including practical/exam/tests) as deemed necessary and accept all highlighted responsibilities.
  • To attend regular 1 to 1's and annual Individual Performance Planning meetings with your Manager.
  • To provide cover for other members of staff during holidays, sickness or other absences and in emergencies.
  • To act in accordance with all Awesome's organisational Policies, including the code of conduct and practice.
  • Clean and sanitise designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning etc)
  • To adhere to all ways of working as specified in the employee's handbook
