Quality Technician

I am currently representing a leading global manufacturer of precision metals. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Quality Technician to work in their manufacturing facility.


Reporting to the Quality Manager; the objective of the role is to measure products at both goods inward and in process to ensure they conform to drawings.

This is a day's role working Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday 8am-11:30am.


Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of the Calibration system.
  • Quality reviews ensuring job routings were filled and carried out correctly. Ensure documentations/data pack are complete and sent to customer.
  • Cover for Inspection in busy times.
  • Operation of measuring machines and equipment training is provided.
  • Investigation and corrective actions implementations for:
  • Internal scrap improvement
  • Customer complaints
  • Vendor returns
  • Concessions (customers and suppliers)
  • Operation of a SPC (Statistical Process Control) system
  • Setting of new inspection sheets (current and new items)
  • Investigations requested by customers
