Summary: This position involves producing reports and analysis on the global LNG and natural gas markets with an emphasis on the progress of new import and export projects in Europe, Africa and the Mediterranean as well as the growing commoditization of the global LNG market.

Location: London office, Marylebone

Responsibilities:

• Report and write reports for industry-leading monthly and quarterly publications focused on the global LNG industry, LNG markets and LNG project finance,
• Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing contacts via telephone, email and in person to gather information and understand developments in the international LNG and natural gas markets and industry,
• Contribute to Poten's LNG contracts database,
• Attend industry events such as conferences and forums to develop editorial and commercial contacts,
• Work with sales and other commercial staff to further the commercial goals of the company,
• Assist with the development of new products and services.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have most or all the following:

• Successful track record reporting on and analyzing developments in the European and African LNG and natural gas sectors,
• Individual initiative and ability to cover a large, diverse beat with minimal supervision,
• The ability to develop leads and prospects,
• Excellent communications skills and the desire to work as part of a global team.

Other requirements:

• Travel of 5+ days every two months to visit clients, attend meetings and industry conferences,
• Liaise with commercial team to pass on commercial leads,
• Must be numerate and comfortable with data and data-heavy reports.
• Work with marketing to develop effective campaigns.
