    Cathodic Protection Engineer - ISO 15257:2017 Level 2 or 3 Certification

    If you hold certification as a Cathodic Protection Engineer, meeting at least the ISO 15257:2017 Level 2 standard for land or marine metallic structures and possess a willingness to travel, this opportunity might align with your professional aspirations.

    We are in search of an experienced Cathodic Protection Engineer to collaborate closely with our Engineering Projects Manager, specialising in cathodic protection. The position is partially office-based at our Telford location but involves domestic and international travel to support cathodic protection initiatives worldwide.

    Specific responsibilities will depend on the applicants experience and certification level. The general responsibilities of the Cathodic Engineer are as follows:


    • Evaluate enquiries for project and field engineer services, producing compliant, comprehensive, and cost-effective bid proposals.


    • Collaborate with the Sales Department on material and shipping cost estimations for project engineering quotations and contracts.


    • Implement contracts in adherence to agreed time-schedules, costs, technical specifications, and commercial terms at each contract stage.


    • Develop cathodic protection designs for internal and external client approval.


    • Conduct cathodic protection fieldwork in line with project requirements.


    • Manage the workload of Cathodic Protection Technicians, including scheduling fieldwork activities.


    • Oversee project commercial and technical work activities, including the design and commissioning process for technical documents.


    • Enforce company Health & Safety policies, Environmental policies, and Quality Control procedures relating to CP projects.


    • Organise and ensure the correct implementation of on-site risk assessments.


    • Keep the technical library, calculation spreadsheets, and other technical aids up to date and in line with recognised standards.


    • Ensure all engineering test equipment is logged, maintained, and correctly calibrated.

    Requirements for the Cathodic Protection Engineer:


    • Certification to ISO 15257:2017 Level 2 or 3 for land or marine metallic structures.


    • Strong attention to detail.


    • Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.


    • Analytical skills.


    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; prior experience with MS Project is advantageous.


    • Willingness to work outdoors and travel.
