• based in Hingham, A C Bacon Engineering Ltd are a leading Norfolk based manufacturer specialising in steel structures and steel frames for agricultural, commercial, and industrial buildings, from design through to manufacture, delivery, and installation. As part of our dedication and commitment to our customers we are also able to supply and install wall and roof cladding, roller shutter doors, personnel doors, metal decking, PCC planks and stairs, PCC grain walling and concrete pad foundations. A C Bacon Engineering Ltd has extensive in-house production facilities at its headquarters in Hingham, to provide the highest quality product and experience for its customers.

The role:
we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Estimator to join our commercial team.

As a Trainee Estimator, you will play a supportive role in the day-to-day running of the estimating department, ensuring that it runs smoothly with deadlines met under direction from either the Senior Estimator or senior management team.

To 'log' and administer the receipt of ITTs under the direction of the Senior Estimator.
Provide full support and assistance to the Senior Estimator and commercial department as required / requested.
Gather and prepare documentation for the Senior Estimator, in a timely fashion, as directed.
Attend meetings to support the Senior Estimator as, and when, required.

What you will need:

the successful candidate will, ideally, have previous experience within the structural steelwork industry, although this is not essential, as full in-house training will be given.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive renumeration package, dependant on experience, including 29.5 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), company pension scheme, and free onsite parking.
