Position Description


As an integral part of What 'Le' Duck's team, the position involves carrying out preparatory tasks within ESF's street food kitchen, as well as cooking dishes to order and communicating with guests.

Operations will always take place under clear direction from the Stall Manager. This opportunity is perfect for a young chef who is looking for a sociable kitchen environment with guest interaction.


Key Responsibilities


Carrying out daily cooking operations in the stall, predominantly preparing pre-defined menu items for sale, but also carrying out preparatory work in the kitchen.

Striving to maintain food quality for all dishes.

Handling the guest ordering and pick-up process in a professional manner.

Solving unanticipated issues that arise. This will be done with assistance from the Stall Manager.

Ensuring the highest level of kitchen cleanliness and personal hygiene is maintained.

Occasionally assisting with the ordering of produce for kitchen production.

Compliance with safety legislation.

Reporting on any necessary maintenance.


Knowledge, skills and abilities

Applicants should:
Enjoy working in busy environments.

Feel comfortable working as part of a team.

Be punctual and well-organised.

Have a degree of cooking skills and attention to detail.

Have a beginning knowledge of food hygiene standards.

*after working an average of 40 hours per week over that period.


Salary:
£25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
