Our client, a charity in the Cambridgeshire area; are currently recruiting for a Recovery Worker for their service which specialises in supporting clients with alcohol and opiate misuse issues.


Length: 3 months ongoing


Location:
Cambridgeshire


Hours: 37 hours, Monday to Friday 9-5


The position involves:


  • Managing a large caseload of clients with alcohol and opiate misuse issues
  • Conducting interviews, further assessments and recommending appropriate recovery options or additional support services for clients
  • Facilitating group sessions including one to ones and motivational interviewing
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records and following operational monitoring procedures
  • Completing complex assessment forms catering specifically to the clients group including assessments of newly referred clients from the criminal justice sector
  • Maintaining sustained engagement from clients in their recovery programme and developing excellent working links between services

Essential requirements:


  • Previous experience working with vulnerable adults and managing a large caseload
  • Significant experience in assessing clients' needs within a drug and alcohol service and building appropriate support packages
  • A recent enhanced DBS with adult's workforce, preferably within the last year or willingness to obtain a new one
