    Catch22 College

    Catch22 College is the collective name for 10 sites that we have across the country, which deliver academic and vocational training programmes for young people aged 16+ who, for whatever reason, are not suited to a mainstream college setting. Our Bishop AucklandCollege site provides learners with a highly supportive environment, where they have access to opportunities to build up their confidence and self belief, and to gain new skills and experiences, that will help them to achieve their goals in life.     Job Description

    As aLead Teacher , you will beprovidingeffective leadership and management on a College site, for 14-19 year olds. You will manage the educational environment, to deliver a high quality, safe, and secure education provision, which supports and motivates students who have complex needs and behaviours.

    You will bewilling to teach for a minimum of 3 days per week, with 2 days of fulfilling the leadership and management responsibilities.
    This role requires a full driving licence, and access to a car.

    Main Duties & Accountabilities

    Teaching and learning:

    Teaching GCSEs in Maths and/or English. Building effective and supporting relationships with students and families/carers, and embedding that trust and support within the education process. Managing, implementing, and monitoring the timetable, so that teachers and support staff are deployed effectively and efficiently, ensuring learner success. Overseeing and coordinatingthe development of your subject(s) area. Planning, producing, and updatingschemes of work to meet curriculum, inspection, and accreditation requirements, taking into account guidance from the DfE and other regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with all current requirements.

    Leadership and management:

    Managingand analysingperformance data, and reporting to the Centre Manager, takingappropriate actions to address areas of underperformance. Leading improvements onthe quality of teaching and learning, throughfollowing and implementing the College's observation of teaching and learning procedures. Managingand implementing the contribution review process, by setting targets for individual and team performance, managingdirect reports, and dealing with staff underperformance in an effective and timely manner. Supporting the training and development of staff, to ensure the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning.

    Qualifications A recognised QTS qualification (or willing to work towards). Significant experience of teaching and planning. Experience of working with a cohort of young people, including those with complex, high behaviour, and additional learning needs. Line management experience, setting KPIs, and conducting regular supervisions. An extensive knowledge and understanding of how to use and adapt a range of teaching, learning, and behaviour management strategies, including how to personalise learning, to provide opportunities for all learners to achieve their potential.     Salary: £31,200 - £38,000 per annum
    Hours per week: Full time, 37 hours per week
    Contract: Permanent
