    Description

    Our client, a highly regarded Investment firm with circa $45Bil of AUM has a newly created role for an experienced qualified accountant to join their Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to bring a best-in-class finance operating model to a prestigious investment business, as part of a wider business transformation program. there is a need to dramatically improve the timeliness, accuracy and insight of financial information within the business. The focus of the role will be to optimise processes and systems across the finance function, reducing reliance on Excel, increasing automation, developing the existing use of SAP and implementing finance-oriented initiatives in coordination with the central Transformation Office.

    Role & Responsibilities

    • Lead successful prioritization, delivery and integration of change and transformation initiatives across the Finance Team.
    • Mapping of all core existing finance processes, understanding and identifying key dependencies.
    • Develop a project plan prioritizing workstreams for upgrade in consultation with Chief Operating Officer and Head of Finance. Known areas of focus; billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, chart of account design, revenue estimation.
    • In consultation with the finance team, transformation team and wider business, design and implement streamlined financial processes, focusing on simplicity, accuracy, automation and optimisation of SAP functionality.
    • Represent Finance within the wider business transformation programme for regular tracking and reporting.
    • Support the Finance teams to improve processes to make them more efficient while enhancing the control environment.
    • Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with heads of departments.
    • Troubleshoot finance issues and provide effective solutions.
    • Take on ad-hoc projects as required.

    Background & Experience

    • ACA or ACCA qualified; approximately 8 to 10 years PQE, or equivalent experience ideally from within and asset management business or financial services.
    • Proven experience of upgrading finance systems and processes.
    • Demonstrable experience of using e of SAP.
    • US GAAP experience a strong advantage.
    • Attention to detail as well as being able to see the big picture.
    • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
    • Ability to bring others on the change journey.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A relentless desire to meet objectives and get things done.
