Description
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE A PWP / IAPT LOW INTENSITY QUALIFICATION

This is a great opportunity to expand our step 2 team and recruit a Qualified PWP.

We would welcome you to join our successful and dynamic IAPT service, with lots of innovation and service development projects to get involved in.

This is a hybrid post of both remote and office based working.

You will be based in Surbiton, a short walk away from the station, and will join a team of lively and friendly Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT Therapists and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners.

Alongside high and low intensity CBT interventions, the service also provides step 2 and 3 groups, as well relational therapies such as DIT and IPT, and Behavioural Couples Therapy.

We also work alongside our Primary Care Mental Health Team which includes Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists and Mental Health Nurses.

We offer good quality weekly case management supervision, as well as fortnightly clinical skills sessions and workshops, facilitated by either step 3 clinicians, or led by peers.

The post-holder will provide a range of brief evidence-based step 2 interventions in for people with mild to moderate mental health problems.

Interventions will be delivered over the telephone, face-to-face, online and within group settings.

We encourage all our staff to develop, and lead on special interests, and therefore welcome any applicants with specific interests or experience that could benefit our community.

See below a quote from one of our trainees who has recently stayed on in a qualified post:
Being a trainee at Kingston iCope has been such a fantastic experience. The team is so approachable, talented and knowledgeable, so it's been amazing to learn from them.

I've been given opportunities to get involved in groups, projects and training on top of the standard training requirements when I have capacity, which has helped me develop as a practitioner.

I've also felt so supported and valued in my role as a trainee PWP and now have been lucky enough to be given a qualified post at Kingston.

Most of our PWPs have attended additional training in LTCs and supervision training, and several have gone on into HI trainee positions with us, or accepted senior roles.

Many of our step 3 HI team have previously been PWPs with us.

At Camden and Islington NHS foundation trust our staff and service users have worked closely to create a set of values that make sure people who use our services get the best possible chance of a rapid recovery.
