Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well established client in Gateshead who are looking for an experienced Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanentbasis.

This is an office based role with the option forsome remote working.

Working in a busy finance team, your main duties will include:

  • Timely collection of accounts receivable
  • Processing customer invoices
  • Checking and posting cash receipts to the accounting system
  • Work closely with the commercial team regarding their overdue/disputed accounts
  • Processing daytoday accounting transactions
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting in month end reporting
  • Payroll processing
  • Resolve payroll queries
  • At least 2 years' experience in an accountancy role, particularly credit control and/or payroll
  • Experience using an ERP finance system
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Well organised and able to prioritise a busy workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
