Accounting Controller, Guildford, £50-60k + Benefits / Hybrid Working


Working for the Technology wing of this large International business, the Controller plans, forecasts, reports, analyzes, and challenges Financial KPIs and their main driver for services, projects and line cost centers in close collaboration with the business,and co-ordinates improvement measures.

They advise and support managers in all financial controlling topics and are responsible for implementation of controlling processes and systems and ensuring compliance to controlling-relevant standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop recommendations for financial targets within the strategic and operational planning and forecasting process (from short, medium and long-term perspectives).

Create and provide financial analyses, reports and dashboards for various stakeholders (ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, yearly base).
Monitor actuals vs. plan, analyses deviations and their drivers, recommend measures to ensure plan achievement and tracks ongoing progress of e.g. major project initiatives.
Support and challenge business representatives based on financial analysis.
Manage pricing processes, approve prices and support calculation, and coordinate transfer pricing compliance.
Liaise with procurement on costs for contracts.
Support long term pricing of fully managed services.
Involvement in Regional activities between UK/IE.
Contribute, establish and further develop guidelines, methods, processes and systems for controlling topics.


This role will ideally suit someone with a degree in finance, business administration, economics etc, probably qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA), with comprehensive controlling, economic and business knowledge and with relevant controlling systems skills e.g.

SAP FI-CO/BW. An understanding of service management / service organizations would also be beneficial.

Other skills that will ensure success include analytical thinking, methodological and conceptual as well as moderation and presentation techniques.

The ability to work fully independently and solve complex problems or situations based on multiple sourcesof information will be beneficial and the ability to drive new ideas and take new perspectives to challenge existing solutions.
