Our client is a newly created regulatory technology business which brings global financial institutions together to optimise standards in compliance, by providing a trusted platform to exchange and enhance information.

Initially delivering sanctions transactions screening, our client changes the way financial crime is tackled by partnering with leading financial institutions and trusted industry partners to deliver effective and efficient screening.

As well as promotingexcellence in compliance, our client's solution significantly removes friction in the customer experience.

The solution will perform state of the art, real time watchlist screening using the most advanced technology solutions for list management, alert generationand disposition.

About the role

What you'll do

Working with Product Owner to translate business requirements into architectural document covering high level architecture with runtime/building block/runtime/development views, constraints, scope, solution strategy, architectural decision,and non NFRs.
Working with our chosen Delivery Partner, Client Security architects and Platform team on detailed solution design and technical requirements which feeds into the Low Level design
Support the Head of Architecture on architecture guidelines

Present technical designs for approval via the Design Authority forum

Provide recommendation on how Solution Architecture and Design should be set up within the company going forwards
Collaborate with crossfunctionality teams and across capabilities to understand business requirements E2E and develop solutions that meet those requirements.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to project teams. you need someone with previous leadership exp?
Establish, communicate and advocate best practice and design patterns

Required Experience

23 years of relevant experience as an AWS solution and data architect.

Hands on experience in using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, AWS services e.g. S3, Lambda, KMS, Lake Formation, RDS, EKS, MSK, Event Bridge, Step Function and Cloud agnostic services e.g. HashiCorp Vault and Consul,

Experience in developing for and deploying to public cloud services especially to Kubernetes environment e.g. EKS, consul, and vault.
Experience working in Financial Services sector is a large plus
Understanding of cloud security concepts and technologies
Comfortable in using different Linux environments e.g. Redhat
Fluent in written and spoken business English
Experience of working in Agile/Scrum with virtual teams
Experience in DevOps,scrum/agile methodologiesand using CI/CD tools such as Github, Terraform.

**Once a month at the office - Needs to travel to Gdansk when required.
