    We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Designer to join Legal and General. The purpose of this role is the delivery of Business Architecture & Design services to Group Functions and Group Technology. By working in concert with Business Architects, providing internal consultancy to Group customers, leveraging a Design mindset and toolkit to solve corporate challenges or leverage strategic opportunities. What you'll be doing
  • Provide Business Architecture & Design Services: Helping provide fit-for-purpose practice services that can advise on and support visioning and strategy, business model refinement, change and innovation initiatives. The practice will adopt a capability-led approach to model each Group Function and apply user-centred design methods to support the development of strategic change initiatives, whilst acting as a bridge between internal customers, stakeholders, and technology teams.
  • Build Knowledge and Assets: Supporting the development of a Business Architecture and Design body of knowledge which may include architectural and design frameworks, reference models, templates and tools aligned with industry best practice.
  • Build Relationships: Acting as an ambassador and champion for Business Design across L&G by establishing highly effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across Group and other divisions as required. This is critical to the success of the Business Architecture & Design practice by building recognition of and demand for its services.
  • Act as a Business Partner: Supporting business partnering to internal Group customers, in collaboration with Business & Enterprise Architecture, so that their strategic aspirations are considered in the change portfolio in line with Legal & General's Customer Experience and consumer duty commitments
  • Manage and Lead People: As required, building the capability of the team through effective management, coaching and role modelling that align to Legal & General's behaviours.
  • Qualifications
  • Business Design with knowledge in building businesses from the ground up as well as working on any of the following areas: product development, organisational behaviour, operations and/or finance
  • Designing business models, carrying out market research, performing financial modelling, market sizing, and value proposition development highly desirable
  • Good command of Design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Broad experience of business and technology domains and acting as an integrator between them
  • Able to work with ambiguity and across varying levels of detail
  • Strong communicator with excellent business relationship management skills
  • Experience of people leadership
