- Create and maintain game asset rigs that meet technical specifications and aesthetic requirements
- Develop and implement advanced rigging techniques
- Collaborate with animators to ensure rigs are optimised for animation workflow
- Work closely with technical artists and programmers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to rigging and animation
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in rigging and animation techniques
- Contribute to the development of rigging and animation tools and pipelines
- Participate in artistic and technical reviews to ensure quality and consistency of game asset rigs
- Proficient in Maya or other industry standard 3D software
- Strong knowledge of rigging and deformations
- Experience with technical rigging and animation
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or MEL
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Passion for video games and a strong understanding of character animation principles
