Join us as our Head of Change Risk Oversight, NatWest Markets

  • If you have a background in risk assessment and change experience as either a Project, Programme or Portfolio Manager, we'd like to hear from you
  • You'll drive the implementation of the risk framework and policy compliance, converting these into strategies and action plans against the NatWest Markets (NWM) change portfolio
  • In this collaborative role, you'll be able to build your network and advance your career, while helping to create a safer environment for our bank

What you'll do

You'll be responsible for supporting management in their assessment of material risks against the NWM change portfolio and in determining their position in line with agreed appetites.

As well as this, you'll drive the delivery of remedial action plans whererisks are considered as out of appetite.

On top of this, you'll be supporting a culture of proactive and pre-emptive risk management and continuous improvement, alongside the attainment of operational risk objectives.

You'll also help to anticipate and assess the potential impacts of change risk acrossour bank.

Furthermore, you'll be:

  • Coaching and supporting colleagues across our bank to improve the understanding of and to embed a proactive risk culture
  • Analysing risk reporting and metrics used to inform decisionmaking
  • Educating teams on the operational and change risk framework and our conduct risk obligations, supporting the business in embedding them
  • Regularly engaging relevant stakeholders, including the second and third line of defence and risk teams
  • Ensuring internal and external stakeholder satisfaction by delivering risk and control actions in a timely manner

The skills you'll need
You'll also need excellent communication skills in order to lead your team and to negotiate with and influence stakeholders.

Additionally, you'll bring:

  • A good understanding of risk assessment and scenario analysis methodologies
  • Significant business and operational experience
  • Knowledge and experience of change management
