    Job Title: Teacher of Spanish (Part-time) Salary: MPS/UPS Responsible to: Head of Modern Languages Faculty Main Purpose: To teach Spanish to A-level, and French to KS3 pupils (Year 7-Year 9), depending on the needs of the Faculty. To undertake associated pastoral and general duties of the School. To act at all times with full regard for the School's ethos, aims and policies. This post offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented part-time teacher to work within an academically highly successful, creative and supportive Faculty within the School. The Department The Modern Language Department currently offers French, German and Spanish (to A-level). It is housed in a group of rooms and is well resourced with teaching materials at all levels. Each full-time teacher generally has his or her own classroom, equipped with a computer, digital projector and interactive whiteboard. Part-time teachers, as much as possible, teach in MFL rooms. There is a departmental office/resource room with a computer, which can be used by all, and is used as a teaching room for small A-level groups and lessons with the French or Spanish Language Assistants. Pupils entering Year 7 all study French as their core language. In Year 8 pupils take on a second modern language choosing between German and Spanish and may opt to continue with Latin. Currently the French Department uses 'Allez' at KS3 and the Hodder CIE iGCSE textbook at KS4. In German 'Zoom Deutsch' is used at KS3 and the Hodder CIE iGCSE textbook at
