Deliver annual sales and profit targets:

  • Accountable for defining and delivering the sales and profit targets for each year and the sales plan.
  • Set targets and create an annual plan for Key Accounts to achieve these targets, using all possible sales principles such as customer account management, customer communication, customer acquisition, ranging, pricing and fulfilment improvements.
  • Put in place a management and reporting framework to plan and monitor performance across the whole Key Accounts team.
  • Constantly use sales data with customer and market insight to understand and influence performance.
  • Be able to develop a close working relationship with other sales functions within the Company
Lead a team of commercial account managers and co-ordinators:

  • Lead and organise a team of Key Account sales professionals to deliver all Key Accounts objectives.
  • Put in place a framework of reporting, communication, accountability and incentives to motivate and challenge team members to achieve our sales and profit targets.
  • Create a development plan for the team and individuals to enable them to grow in capability.
  • Continually challenge ways of working to improve efficiency on all processes across the business supporting Key Accounts.
  • Accountable for creating, gaining support and delivering the sales plan for Key Accounts to deliver our sales and profit targets. Working with our key business partners in writing and delivering joint business plans for sales growth.
  • This should include all aspects of Key Account management, including pricing and promotional positions, ranging principles, appropriate use of technology and customer fulfilment.
  • Create and deliver an annual plan for acquiring new customers. Put in place a lead generation and passing mechanism to ensure the right people are working on the right level of sales and accounts.
