- Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Shift Supervisor/Mill Manager, working closely with operations to minimize disruptions.
- Uphold high engineering standards and hygiene practices.
- Assist with PUWER, LOLER, Risk Assessments, and related tasks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in engineering operations in hazardous environments, including confined space work, hot work, and working at heights.
- Participate in mechanical and electrical projects and installations.
- Efficiently operate effluent plant systems for environmental compliance.
- Understand and manage fire suppression systems.
- Follow established escalation routes for unscheduled plant downtime and minimise it through sound engineering practices.
- Relevant engineering trade qualification, previous commercialengineering experience, and an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering.
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical processes and assemblies, with electrical or welding/fabrication experience.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, emails) for record-keeping and spares ordering.
- Food manufacturing experience is desirable.
- PLC experience is desirable.
- Air and pneumatics training is desirable.
