Division info:
The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.
Summary of position:
The Materials Handler will be responsible for Goods in; Receipt of all Materials, Forgings, Ancillary items, and Dispatching; Packing and protecting of all outgoing parts in line with appropriate specifications.
Main responsibilities:
•Receive both free issue and purchased parts.
•Inspect stock visually and ensure compliance with certificates of conformance (C of C).
•Label and control stock storage, including preservation efforts.
•Maintain the upkeep of bonded areas.
•Enforce production order discipline according to company procedures.
•Pack sub-contract work and finished goods to meet customer requirements, including labelling.
•Move parts to the next operation and unload materials from vehicles.
•Receive and store all materials in accordance with procedures.
•Issue materials promptly to production orders and the shop floor.
•Maintain a clean and safe working area while implementing improvements and lean activities.
•Ensure all paperwork for deliveries is scanned and stored for retrieval.
Qualifications:
•Proficient in computer literacy including emails, Excel, Word, and ERP systems.
•Possession of a full driving license is preferred but not essential.
•Previous experience in goods in and logistics within the aerospace industry.
•Forklift license preferred but not essential.
•Demonstrates self-starting capabilities.
•Flexible and adaptable to changing work requirements.
•Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
•Committed to achieving success and being an excellent team player.
