We are relentless in our focus on tackling the central challenge of our age – the energy transition.We have a new opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join our Asset Management team to support in the delivery of commercial objectives across AMP's Grid Flexibility portfolio.
The Commercial Analyst will play a key role delivering optimal data integrity, process efficiency and financial performance.Developing a clear understanding of the commercial and operational structure, capabilities, and opportunities across AMP's Grid Flexibility portfolio
Overseeing and optimising the commercial aspects of the portfolio primarily through providing data insight and identifying and implementing new revenue opportunities (i.e. Carrying out regular reconciliation and audit exercises across billing functions ensuring accuracy and optimal data integrity
Collaborating with operational teams, ensuring compliance across all commercial interests, particularly the National Grid Capacity Market and working closely with them to identify and implement cost savings
Proactively identifying and resolving ad-hoc data issues
Assisting with contract management activities as required
Providing support to the wider Asset Management function in the delivery of its commercial and operational objectives
Collating, analysing and presenting operational data sets to management in order to optimise the alignment between operational and commercial efficiency
Minimum of 2 years within a Commercial Analysis role (Finance, Business Analysis etc.)
A high-level functional understanding of BESS / Gas Recip assets
Familiarity with data visualization tools (specifically Power BI)
Exceptional data analysis skills
Strong financial reporting skills
Ability to interpret complex data, deriving actionable insights
Flexibility and availability to carry out analysis tasks at short notice due to operational requirements

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
