Leading Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing Company based in Northumberland seeks an experienced QC Team Leader.


About the role:


  • Ensuring analysis is performed, right first time, on time and in line with business requirements and is performed by suitably trained and experienced analysts and in with cGMP and EHS as required by regulatory and company directives
  • Set work schedules and priorities according to the resource allocated to the team. Escalating any issues or concerns that may impact the delivery of business commitments.
  • Collect and collate data to facilitate the management of the performance, efficiency and utilisation of the QC team.
  • Effective communication relating to QC activities within the business and to external customers, providing key performance indicator metrics as appropriate
  • Ensure existing laboratory instrumentation is maintained and calibrated appropriately through effective communication with external and internal engineer support
  • Prepare and present capex documentation for new QC equipment
  • Provide instrument qualification/validation documentation, including relevant trackwise controls prior to setup and qualify appropriately

Skills and experience:


  • Strong leadership skills ability to manage staff in busy environment and provide coaching and support to team members
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills for self and others
  • Effective communicator
  • Analytical technique expertise
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements for QC laboratories

Job Type:
Permanent


Salary:
£25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:


  • GMP: 1 year (preferred)
  • Raw material analysis: 1 year (preferred)
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)
