    Description

    Post 16 Teaching Assistant

    • Location: Consett, County Durham
    • Salary: £ £100.00 per day
    • Contract: Full Time, Temporary

    GSL Education are recruiting for a Post 16 Teaching Assistant to support students in a sixth form setting in Consett, assisting them as they prepare for higher education or vocational training.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with teachers to support educational plans and assessments.
    • Facilitate group sessions and one-to-one support focusing on academic and personal development.
    • Monitor and encourage progress in students' academic and vocational pursuits.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in a post-16 educational setting is advantageous.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to motivate and engage young adults in their studies.

    Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
