Description
Responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of corporate data governance frameworks in line with insurance sector regulation and continuous business evolution.
- Implement standards, policies and procedures to provide technical assurance for the ongoing implementation of the data governance policy within the business.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Identify data issue, risks and opportunities by regularly communicating with business function and working closely with Information Technology support team.
- Record, assess, prioritise and report data issues.
- Develop and or deploy systems, tools and processes for ensuring conformance with corporate datarelated processes.
- Lead efforts to acquire or restructure data across any applicable systems to meet gaps in corporate business needs.
- Collaboration with Information Technology partners to implement Data Strategy for quality improvement and or remediation.
- With an inquisitive mind, perform complex data analysis and related environmental statistics such as record counts, volumes, exceptions, etc.; identify and determine root cause for data quality items impacting the business; recommends solutions and strategiesin line with the data governance.
- Develop, maintain and revise detective and preventive controls.
- Participate in business data modelling and implementing reporting best practices.
- Drive stakeholder relationships by aligning business and technology.
- Execute projects in alignment with project plans, including tracking resources and updating project plans as needed.
- Support project planning and management to ensure best practice and legal frameworks are followed with regards to data governance.
- Participate in data quality monitoring and improvement. Responsible for identification, planning, mapping, analysis, synthesis of complex data.
- Support the Finance Department in developing and testing system changes.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Maths, Accounting, or Finance.
- Robust knowledge of Insurance and Reinsurance business, and Regulatory landscape.
- Experience performing data analysis and reporting required.
- Good understanding of Insurance Analytics and Financial Data.
- Experience in Project Management and capable of working independently
- Strong technical expertise using data analytics and visualisation tools such as Excel, SharePoint, SQL, SAP, Business Warehouse and BI tools.
- Experience producing adhoc analysis and reports based on highlevel requirements while working closely with clients to refine criteria based on iterative results.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills.
