    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Carry out feasibility studies, including site analysis, market research to develop design strategies and consultant briefs during early planning stages
    • Collate project brief during pre-planning stages with management
    • Assist in the appointing and managing external design consultants to get the best possible result out of the consultants
    • Constructively review and challenge consultant design proposals and specifications, offering design solutions to ensure the final proposals are innovative, of an exceptional quality, commercially feasible and buildable
    • Collaborate with project teams throughout the design process to provide clear and concise design information, monitoring design development to ensure the concept integrity is maintained
    • Produce Interior Concept presentation documents for presentation to the Management Team and the Board
    • Liaise with existing and new suppliers to effectively maintain an up-to date product library
    • Assist in the management and production of in-house design visualisation materials.
    • Preparation of presentation material for Group as required

    Requirements:

    • Managing a design team.
    • Managing the design process using his/her commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise.
    • Encouraging and inspiring design consultants to produce their best work using their full flair, experience, resources and talents in a cost-effective way.
    • Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate.
    • Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales
    • Good command of both written and spoken English. Able to read and speak in Chinese is preferred
    • Comfortable with different time zone working environment and willing to travel abroad when needed
    • Be able to work under pressure with tight timeline or multi-task when needed
    • Must be eligible to work in UK
